Corporate identity for new luxury fragrance group

Perfumers 1870 is a collective of perfume brands creating unique fragrances since 1870. The collection includes L’Artisan Parfumeur and Penhaligon’s who have been sister brands for 10 years and are known in the industry as such. In 2015 the brands were acquired by Puig Fragrances — one of the largest family owned fashion fragrance businesses based in Barcelona.

The Challenge

Following MONOGRAM’s successful brand refresh for Penhaligon’s and their acquisition we were invited to design the corporate identity for the newly created luxury perfume group Perfumers 1870.

Each of the brands within the portfolio place an importance on craftsmanship and take an artisan approach to ingredients. It was therefore essential that the new brand mark communicated the values of artistry, heritage and provenance.
